doom 2016

2016 was a great year for games.

Developers were pulling out all their latest and greatest games.

Here are the top 10 games 2016.

10. Forza Horizon 3

Forza Horizon 3

Set in Australia with some of the best graphics out there, this Forza game brings beautiful bloom, water particles and attention to detail throughout the world.

An open world racing game with not just stunning visuals.

The cars feel nice and balanced, light cars feel light and heavy cars feel heavy.

9. The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine

The Witcher 3 Blood & Wine dlc

Although Blood & Wine is technically a DLC, it’s a damn good DLC.

Blood & Wine can stand on its own 2 feet along with many stand alone games.

This comes packed with rich monster lore, new game play features, new crafting features and the graphics are even improved upon.

The story is dramatic, you against the vampires! A huge world to explore.

8. Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2

Unfortunately, this game went under the radar and went passed many gamers.

But that doesn’t take away from it being an amazing game, Titanfall 2 far surpassed the original.

This new installment took everything from the first game and made it so much better.

New Titans and game modes, even the single player is pretty good which says a lot since the original Titanfall single player experience was terrible.

Multiplayer was a blast! Jumping from wall to wall and in and out of titans, you can’t get enough of this game!

7. Battlefield 1

battlefield 1 GOTY

Battlefield shifted away from the futuristic environment all the other shooters were adopting like Call Of Duty.

Dice decided to go back in time. A lot of people were excited and scared at the same time, hoping this game would be a success.

Well, it’s safe to say Battlefield 1 was a huge success!

The single player gave us a little history lesson of WW1 and how awful it was.

BUT…

… let’s be honest. We just wanted the multiplayer and didn’t care too much about anything else.

Multiplayer is addictive, blow up armored trains, engage in dogfights and even ride horses. All this with insane graphics.

6. Final Fantasy XV

final fantasy xv

After many years and delays, it finally released and I’m happy to say Final Fantasy XV is an awesome game.

Despite going on for years and having to dramatically change the way this game will play.

The new installment of the franchise still keeps the touch of a final fantasy game.

A huge world, active battles, and vibrant graphics, the world is simply breathtaking.

So many different monsters to fight and secrets to discover. It’s nice to see this franchise return to glory.

5. Overwatch

overwatch best game of 2016

One of the most addictive games of the year.

it’s so hard to put this game down and do something else. Overwatch is a breath of fresh air, all these other shooters are so serious and take on a futuristic look.

Well, Overwatch is a colorful shooter that does not take its self seriously.

There are many characters, so finding one that fits your play style won’t be a problem.

Each character has a unique set of abilities with a unique personality. Blizzard has made yet another phenomenal video game.

4. Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3

Prepare to die. That’s Dark Soul’s motto.

A difficult time for players, gripping their controllers’ whiles they game their hearts out trying to defeat a boss. The art style is dark, gritty and gruesomely bloody.

We love it.

If you want to come out alive you better have quick reflexes.

3. Doom

doom 2016

Many years have passed since an epic release of a doom game.

It’s safe to say that fans are pleased the way this game turned out. Doom doesn’t do that futuristic crap so many other first-person shooters are doing.

Doom sticks to its guns and does what it does best.

Glory kills and painful shots to the demons face, all this with top-notch graphics.

2. Stardew Valley

stardew valley

I was completely blown away by this game and certainly did not think this would be at number 2 on my list.

Especially since this game was made by only 1 person!

There is so much to do. You can clear out your farm, plant crops, fight monsters, make friends, give gifts and talk to people.

It’s amazing how such a tiny game can have so much content. An addictive game thriving of creativity.

1. Uncharted 4 A thief’s End

Uncharted 4 A thief's End

Naughty Dog has done it again with another brilliant thrill ride.

This game ticks all the boxes.

  • fantastic gameplay
  • brilliant story
  • jaw-dropping visuals

Hunt for the biggest treasure the world has ever seen. Take part in action-packed cinematic environments, indulge in new features and mechanics like the grappling hook and vehicles.

Unfortunately, this is Nathan drake’s last time in a video game and they did him justice.
